I am originally from the Midwest. Grew up an avid outdoorsman moved to Fort Myers Florida about 17 years ago. Continued my passion for the outdoors with saltwater fishing when assessing for sharp fillet knife is second to none.

As a child, I was always fascinated with the idea of being able to sharpen knives. I would watch in amazement as my father would hand sharpen our kitchen knives, always admiring the sharpness of the blade and the precision with which he worked. However, whenever I tried to sharpen a knife myself, I never had much luck. No matter how hard I tried, my efforts always seemed to result in duller blades.

As I grew older, my interest in sharpening knives never waned. I was determined to figure out how to do it properly and achieve the same level of precision as my father. I began reading books on the subject, and watching YouTube videos. Despite all of this, I still struggled to get the results I wanted.

One day, while browsing online, I stumbled upon a forum post about using a 1 x 30" belt sander for knife sharpening. Intrigued, I decided to give it a try. I purchased a sander and began experimenting. To my surprise, I found that I was able to achieve much better results than I ever had before. I was able to put a sharp edge on my knives, and the process was much quicker and easier than using a traditional whetstone.

As I continued to sharpen knives using my belt sander, I became more and more confident in my abilities. I started sharpening knives for friends and family. The positive feedback I received only fueled my passion for the craft.

However, I knew that I still had much to learn. I wanted to take my sharpening skills to the next level and began researching more advanced sharpening systems. This is when I discovered the Tormek sharpening system. The Tormek promised even greater precision and a wider range of capabilities. I saved up and eventually purchased the system.

The Tormek was a game-changer for me. It allowed me to sharpen not only knives, but also other bladed tools like scissors and chisels. The precision and control that the system provided allowed me to achieve results that I had only dreamed of before. I was thrilled with the level of sharpness that I was able to achieve.

Still, I wasn't satisfied. I wanted to see if there was an even better sharpening system out there. After doing some research, I decided to invest in a Wicked Edge system. The Wicked Edge promised unparalleled precision and control, and I was excited to try it out. Unfortunately, my excitement was short-lived. I quickly discovered that the Wicked Edge required both hands and a high level of dexterity. Due to a shoulder injury, the dexterity in my left arm was compromised, making it impossible for me to use the system effectively. Frustrated and disappointed, I returned the Wicked Edge for a refund.

Despite this setback, I knew that I couldn't give up on my quest for the perfect sharpening system. I continued to research and read reviews from other sharpeners. It was then that I came across the TS Prof sharpening system. The TS Prof system was praised by many for its simplicity and ease of use, while still providing excellent results. It was also less expensive than some of the other systems I had considered, which was a bonus. I decided to take the plunge and ordered the system.

When the TS Prof system arrived, I was excited to get started. The system was easy to set up and use, and the results were impressive. The sharpness that I was able to achieve was much more impressive than with the Tormek, and the system was much easier to use than the Wicked Edge. I was thrilled with the Results.

I am now saving to purchase the new K03.

I can't wait to see what doors it will open in sharpening.
