KADET GE comes with the new upgraded hinge unit - Glide. Itย providesย smooth running of the guide rodย without jamming or friction. The brass bushing ensures smooth operation and eliminates backlash when sliding.
To park the rod with the Glide unit,ย you just have to place the rod in theย parkingย position, and it willย stay in placeย due to theย frictional forceย of its own weight.

Theย whole-milled universal clampsย allow you to sharpen compact folding and solid hunting knives.
Theย knife flipping mechanismย keeps the same sharpening angle on both sides of the knife. After turning, the lever locks the clamping frame in place.
Theย angle setting unitย allows smooth adjustmentย of theย sharpening angleย in the range from 12ยฐ to 32.1ยฐ, thanks to the rack-and-pinion gear. It slides on the whole-milled arched rack. When you turn the height-adjusting knob, the body moves around the virtual center where the knife's cutting edge is.
Theย convenient folding mechanismย allows you to disassemble the Kadet, and its weight of just 2.1 kg (4.7 lbs) makes it both stable during sharpening and easy to carry in a case or even a backpack, enabling you to take precision sharpening wherever you go.

Kadet Pro sharpening kitย includes 5 diamond platesย of various grit, from Extra Coarse to finishing (Very Fine). These plates do not require breaking in, soaking in water, or the use of oil.
Includes the following grit range: โ F150ย Extra Coarseย diamond plate - for profiling the edge and shaping the blade. โ F220ย Coarseย diamond plate - next step in blade shaping, still pretty coarse. โ F400ย Mediumย diamond plate - for main sharpening stage and making a biting edge. โ F600ย Fineย diamond plate - for pre-finishing the edge and removing scratches. โ F1000ย Very Fineย diamond plate - for finishing the edge.
